Sydney's Cruise Bar under fire for using naked women as fruit platters at launch party 
How do you guarantee maximum negative attention for your bar's relaunch? Well, Sydney's Cruise Bar has just found out.
The Circular Quay bar is facing calls of a boycott following its re-launch party on Wednesday night, after it used naked women as serving platters at the function.
Photos and videos shared from the event show two naked women lying across a table, with watermelon, grapes and some pretty unripe bananas strewn across their bodies.
Guests were encouraged to eat the food off the "human platters".
Cruise Bar's Facebook page has been covered in complaints, including from former secretary of NSW Greens, Jane Oakley.
"Thanks Cruise Bar for so openly showing your contempt for women and contributing to the disgusting view that women's bodies are just a utensil. I won't be coming to your venue when I'm looking for a night out," Oakley wrote on the site.
"I hope people decide to boycott Cruise Bar en masse," Collective Shout's Melissa Tankard-Reist added in an interview with Daily Mail.
"It is part of the ongoing objectification of women to use them as serving trays and just part of the buffet - saying 'help yourself to the women's bodies'."
