Dude was dumb because yes u can be in a nice section 8 home (depending on the area) but her job would have told on her. If her rent is 407 then her job isn't going to be that high paying. She probably pays that amount because she might be getting child support and the 1200 is probably what the apartment complex charges people who pay market rent.

Furthermore, your full mortgage probably does not equal anywhere close to half of the market rate for your home. So yes it would be stupid to try and charge someone renting a room in your house the full rate of your mortgage. That's not really comparable this situation where the market rate of the home in question is likely a lot more than whatever she is paying. Isn't that how section 8 works? The person is not paying the full market rate as their rent? You are trying to compare apples to oranges.

My husband chose well, thanks. I am honest, direct, and very business savvy; among my other great qualities.
