If YOU are down on your luck, and need a place to stay, either pay the rent I charge or go find you a place for market value. I have a rent stabilized apartment so my rent is cheap. My friend needed a place to stay, so I charged her a random set price. She could either pay me $550 a month or go pay $1600 for a one bedroom somewhere. Matter of fact, she didn't even know what my rent was. Still doesn't. Not anyone's business. Especially if you're on the edge of homeslessness.
I used her money to pay utilities(150 total) and the rest went into my pocket

You can sublease your apartment or your parents home for how much ever you'd like that's nobodies business. But this broad lives in SECTION 8 housing that is paid for by TAX PAYERS. Our dollars are subsidizing her rent and she has the nerve to illegally make a profit off of it? Nah. She tried to hustle the very man she let inside her apartment with her kids. If she don't respect him like that why have him move in around the kids? And the nerve to call him out on social media not realizing what a bummy ass broad she really is?

She not paying the full market rate but overcharging someone her full portion of rent (400/ he was being charged $600+extra for light)
How does that make any sense at all........rent , like the cost for housing goes by market rate, and oshe is being subsidised via government for the rent, how can she turn around and charge someone over 100% for her portion.

Renting a room in NY is 800. So she was getting a discount on that alone.
And she technically wasnt down on her luck. She was living with her mom and they kept beefing, so she left. She was a fully functioning and able adult. She was capable of paying that 550. If she was in a shelter, or got kicked out onto the streets, then that would be different.
