I seem to have an issue. I can't seem to stay friends with women I haven't fukked. We usually end up drifting apart. I'm trying to gain more balanced perspectives in my life so making friends with women (I already have male friends ) seems to be a way of evening the scales but it never seems to work out. Either they don't wanna be my friend because I'm taken or they want to sleep with me and I'm not trying to cheat. Can someone help me here. Situational friends are the easiest friends to make. You already have something in common and it means you see each other with some degree of regularity.

I think we're both guilty. When I'm busy I get tunnel vision and will forget even my family. I will drop a text here or there to them after hiatus but no response. Mind you it's not always my being busy. I'll hit people up and they just won't respond randomly at all ever again.

Nelo, didnt you say you date(d) a girl with asberger's? Do you have any social anxieties or issues? I only ask because you ask a lot of questions on social interaction and I know that a lot of people here suffer from some form of social anxiety.

Anyway, you need to get out more. Join a club, go to events, get a hobby, go to meetup.com, just talk to everyone and eventually you will meet someone you click with. You live in NYC, you have tons of opportunities there.

Most men and women can't be legit friends in my opinion.

Maybe in a large circle of friends they can be

But from my experience, you can be cool with a woman or have acquaintances, But close friends... that's hard to do. Someone will either try to start a real relationship, a sexual relationship, or you will most likely drift away
