here's that

Historians voting Nakamura 4th makes no sense. Specially when real historians like Yohe and Farmer don't see him as a legit candidate yet.

People probably read Dave stanning for New Japan and think the promotion is booming or hitting a peak :mjlol:

That's why HBK didn't get in for a couple years, bitter old timers like Cornette, Matysik and Bockwinkel hated him personally

Guys like that eventually get in on the influence vote though

Mean Gene and Bryan are pretty much locks for next year. Sting will probably get the influence vote in the next few years.
Bitter? They witnessed firsthand how much of an a$$hole Shawn Michaels was.

Hennig finished 8th in votes amongst former performers

It's funny how a guy like Henning gets love from his peers, mainly for being a good/great perfomer (he was never a real draw). But current guys, except if they are Japanese or dead, get no love for their performances by them.

And the funny thing is, Meltzer said he didn't vote for Nakamura either.

Someone told a story, might have been Konnan, about going into a meeting with Vince and seeing an Observer on his desk. He probably stole it from one of the boys every week instead of subbing though :heh: I'd like to see a Vince ballot though :jbhmm:
That reminds me of Bret Hart saying that publicly the wrestlers would act like they didn't read it, but then they would all be looking at it in the locker room.

Also, I remember in Scott Steiner's shoot interview he was asked about something negative about him that Meltzer had apparently reported. He was all "what does he know!!!" Then later in the same interview he used Meltzer as his source for HHH drawing numbers, lol.

Wade Keller said that when Austin walked out, Vince called Wade asking if he'd heard anything about where Austin was, and where his head was at.

I believe I remember someone in an interview saying that Vince would wonder in private meetings how Meltzer would find out certain info.

Meltzer actually said Edge is a hall of famer for carrying fukking smackdown for 3 years while Sting has been main event level since 1988. You can say fans my age are nostalgic about stars from our childhood, but when nostalgic fans paid money to see Sting in September and boosted the buyrate, what that mean?
