Any thoughts on this?

Backstage Talk On WWE Talents Waiting For Contracts To Expire, Stephanie McMahon's WWE NXT Meeting - Wrestling Inc.

There are said to be a lot of WWE talents who are counting the days until they can get out of their WWE contracts, according to Wrestling Observer Radio.

There have been rumors of WWE talents wanting to leave for months, but Dave Meltzer noted on WOR that AEW putting on a successful show with Double Or Nothing has really changed things.

On a related note, WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon was in Orlando this week for a business luncheon. She also visited the WWE Performance Center and Wednesday's WWE NXT TV tapings at Full Sail University. As seen in the video above, Stephanie held a talent meeting before Wednesday's tapings, which was described as a pep talk.

Stephanie reportedly pushed how great everything is with the company, and how talents get to be their own brands in the company. Stephanie also pushed social media in a big way. Her presentation included a big screen that showed how Forbes recently listed WWE and WrestleMania as one of the top 10 most powerful brands on social media, among other points.

It was also noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE is trying to convince talents that their careers are over if they leave. Talents have believed this in previous years, but most aren't buying it these days and a lot of wrestlers who leave are happy that they made the decision. Meltzer noted how it appears as if WWE is trying to convince the fans that it's WWE or nothing, and that wrestlers are jokes if they aren't with WWE.

They arent entirely wrong. :manny:

Not everybody is gonna get signed to AEW or even NJPW. alot of them guys gon end up in ROH and Impact. For sure a big downgrade.

Depends on the person honestly. The people who have at least good in-ring skills will be fine regardless of where they end up.

ROH is spending the money they were saving for the Elite so they're splurging and Impact only makes you work 4 to 5 days a month so the rest your cash flow is up to you making indie bookings.

Yeah it depends on the guy. Like if curt hawkins got released tomorrow i couldn't see him doing much of anything. But ppl like Sasha etc would be a huge deal.

Im not sure what to make of impact you got ppl like Jordynne Grace signing there and making good money id assume but apparently Scarlett Bordeaux still living with her moms and working a side job.

I really think alot of the guys lookin to leave wwe are in for a rude awakening when realizing they werent as underused as they thought they were. Everybody cant be Moxley, Cody, etc. Alot of ppl wont even be shawn spears

Like that boy TJP. i aint heard bout him in months

The thing about Impact is that they only have 5 or 6 dates a month so you need to work indies or a real world job outside of those dates to make decent money. According to Reddit, Jordynne Grace works as a legal transcriptionist and takes indie dates while Scarlett used to be a bottle girl before signing to Impact but she doesn't take many indie bookings.

This is True/False.

True, if the person came to WWE directly thinking of fame but looking to just cash in on WWE only because of the brand name.

False, if they love wrestling, because they will find a job with a smaller promotion because they were on WWE programming; less money, crowds, but at least your still worth something.
