Doctors and surgeons are sometimes looking at 80 hour work weeks, as are a lot of lawyers.
Commute can take up over an hour each day, as can errands.
I sleep 6, work 8, commute about an hour and a half and get about 7 hours of "leisure time" which is more or less heavy reading, LSAT studying, and maybe an hour of exercise everyday, plus cooking dinner.
Build a million dollar app if you want more free time

But the money and Benefits are worth it... it different when you working 40 hrs A week making minimum wage. Some ppl work more Hours than that

I work about 13-14 hours a day on average during weekdays. Leaves me about 3 hours of free time every day. I would kill for 8 and I'm honestly thinking about downshifting careerwise to have more free time. Idk if whatever side hustle I do could make up for the ~$20-30k difference I'd expect in salary though. Wouldn't mind at all working the same hours at home but once the clock hits 8pm in the office, I'm like .

I break my year down into three 4-month chunks.

Trip between every chunk no matter what whether it be a weekend in NYC or a week in India.

During the four month chunks I work towards my current goal after work hours. Going to Portland Oregon after this chunk. The days fly by but I remember everything about the last twelve trips.

Give it a decade at most and I'll be financially independent and won't even have to work a job cuz I'll work for myself and those chunks are gonna be amazing.

Thats why i rather have 3 12 hour work days or 4, 10 hour workdays.

Not to mention you spend most of the time commuting as well

Same here breh. My job provides this only these 2 shifts. I work on the 4 days 10 hours shift. After a few of my old jobs doing 5 days 8 hour shifts, I never knew such a thing existed. I sleep so hard on Saturday and don't wake up till the afternoon. Having 3 days off is straight piff.

I used to have the 4 ten hour shifts as well.

Driving was tough but i LOVED having 3 days off.

Sleep one day, get fukked up the next, recover on the last day, rinse and repeat
