Is money worth working a job you’re meh about and can’t stand the people?

Or is happiness worth more with a job you like, but bringing home a little less? Nothing too significant?

What say you brehs? :jbhmm:

Happiness 100 percent. I’ve stated on here before I’m getting ready to quit my job soon. Only second time in my life I’ve ever been unhappy in a role. Definitely the first time since being a proper adult. The mental job that is does clocking in and hating every moment of the day just isn’t worth it anymore. Got a side business that I’m going to push harder with, some money to the side and just picked up a freelance gig I can do on my own time. So by summer/fallish I’m telling them kick rocks.

Definitely agree man. I’m at a job where I can’t stand the people. Make the day absolutely unbearable. Like you dread going to work. Being micromanaged and people being shytty with you all day. Getting ready to leave. Money ain’t worth it for me anymore

It depends on what a "little less" is, but unless I was strapped for cash or there was a big difference I'd take the job I like.

For example I wouldn't leave an 80K job I love (and that has good benefits) for a 100K job I'd be miserable at just so I can say I make six figures. Only way I would do that is if I was struggling to pay my bills.

Now if it was a 200K job, that might be a different story.

I always told myself that if I was fortunate enough to find a career that I enjoyed, I would do that even if meant making a little more than what I currently do..
Would you say the same if it was a lifestyle change tho? I feel like the money aspect is just a fraction of the decision, a lot of the "cool" jobs that people want are actually a whole lifestyle that carries outside of work too

Imagine in order to do the job you liked you had to live in a shytty state and work around racist cacs and :mjpls: types, you still taking that job vs. one that pays better, puts you in a way better environment, but you're kinda "meh" about the work?

It's a harder decision when it's more than money changing

Depends. If I had to leave NY, it would only be to go to LA or Chicago for said career.
