Okay. I feel you. My old roommate takes out an additional loan on top of her stipend. I just make it work, but I also had a lot of money saved from when I was an elementary school teacher (I'm RAing AND TAing next semester....I'm going to be living the life on that double money). Good luck with your dissertation (my good friend just successfully defended his dissertation in AGecon).
Thanks

Good luck with your degree too

This. My problem going to college was that I didn't want to stop making money. A degree helps though when getting into a career to set yourself apart from the crowd. I've been trying to get a government job for a year now. I have connections and scored high on the entry exams . However, my connects tell me I just need to get a degree to get a look, whether its a B.A. or an A.A. I'm a class away from an an A.A. and I'll get it FINALLY in the Spring.

As for the making money part, I'm :eat: good for a single guy w/o kids and only w/ a little credit card debt. I just need some security in my life now. Don't have that in sales :yeshrug:
i hated school all my life, got my first job at 15 and loved the feeling of getting money. I would put work over school while i was in HS. I would work extra shifts knowing i have HW to do but i didn't care. and college i knew i was never gonna go to. The day i started high school i knew i wasn't even thinking about going to college. The number of unemployed college graduates is at a all time high, and I'm not about that getting in debt life. I barely graduated HS, i wanted to leave in 11th grade and just work full time. Stayed for my parents to give them something to be happy about. Graduated and i have no regrets about not going to college. At this point my life would've been the same whether i graduated or dropped out, my diploma isn't the thing that helped me make the money I'm making now
