You should do whatever you can to secure a good paying job upon graduation. I mean 60k or more. You live like a damn bum...fukking studio apartment, someone's basement just by yourself. Stack EVERY Penny!! Take on a pizza delivery job just save save save save. Do this for 2-3 years tops. If you invest it well, you should have enough to pay off your debt and have some for a down payment on house as well. Like you want to aim to save $40k a year.

Student loan debt may doom this nation and plunge it into 3rd world status. People need to do massive protests like they do in Europe and South America and push their wigs way back for scamming people from prospering in their financial futures.
The sooner that people realize the government doesn't give a fukk about them, the better. The impact of student loans on people's financial future is written out in the promissory note but people don't read it. Stupidity costs.

College students shouldn't resort to that. You fighting for scraps and letting these scam institutions get away with murder. There are not enough good paying jobs out there. They should protest against it and make people WORK TOGETHER to get more out of life.

I'm already making the 60K, but to save 40K a year....shyt, I'd need to make 100K after living expenses, student loans, tuition, eating, work expenses, etc to do that. I guess I could go live with my grandma again, but I ain't doing that shyt, I'm too old for that.

There are plenty and I'm not even debating that with you because nothing you can say will change my mind. There are not enough skilled workers to fill them.

We be better off as a nation that fights against corrupt institutions and the average person getting more for their buck than to fight for scraps. Soon, even bumming it out/ getting a delivery job/ working in IT or Chemistry ain't gonna be enough.

Not everyone can get a masters degree in some obscure shyt and working for 60+ hours per week just to get paid above minimum wage. Not worth sacrificing your humanity for that shyt.

Once you graduated, if you picked up some odd jobs or had a full-time and a part-time job and live cheaply, you could easily save 40k. and :whoa: don't live with your fam, but try to find a studio or someone with a small basement apartment. Remember the more you save the less you have to live that way. You only want to do this for 2-3years...closer to 2 years. Man, just focus on finishing school. How much loan debt do you have if you don't mind me asking.

Loans for BA
Loans for MA
Loans for PhD

that's my problem....:to: (And I'm still working on finishing up the PhD, but I'm not taking out loans for that anymore, just paying out of pocket)

Thank God for IBR plans though (I only have to pay 15% of my income for the student loans, or I'd be fukking screwed as shyt)

You shouldn't even be doing this. Our parents are :snoop: @ how expensive college became. Even what you said is true, we gonna be suffering in debt for years to come.

We light as well put the college administrators to trial and force them to pay back all the money they made from scamming people.

If you handle your money right, you don't have to do that shyt forever. People enslave themselves with piss poor money management.

No, colleges shouldn't even have to charge you that much for a career. They are scamming people and somehow, it is accepted.

Then you need to work on securing a job that pays six figures upon graduation or pretty soon after graduation. You still want to live cheap and if you could toss $50k a year to the debt you're looking at less than 3 years to be debt free. It's not impossible and you're good for not adding any more to it.

If your family are gift givers ask them to contribute to paying it down in lieu of presents.

It has become somewhat of a scam, I agree.

500% tuition increase since 1985 (well over inflation) :damn:

I actually straight up told my brother. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME, DO NOT GET A GRADUATE DEGREE IT IS NOT WORTH IT, GIVEN THE DEBT. He ain't listening though :snoop:
