There are going to be a lot of foreigners murdered or commit suicide on the ride to and from the stadium. 
Have you ever been to a game at Met Life? I was there last year for the Arsenal vs United match. Took one of those shuttles from Port Authority. Got to Port Authority an hour before kickoff. Ended up at the game after halftime.

What's funny is the entire 2015 Women's World Cup in Canada was played on turf. A lot of those women had their complaints ignored because ... they're women.
It's not going to be in LA because FIFA now demands the final be in a venue with a minimum of 80k seats. And they have to renovate and pull some seats out of SoFi for the World Cup specific dimensions.

Time zone is the issue as the game will likely be played at 3pm. A 3pm game in LA would have the final at 11 pm in London and midnight in Paris.
I do know a few people that said they went to a game at MetLife. They said they hated getting there.
It's not the time zone. 1994 Final was in the Rose Bowl.
They're not using the Rose Bowl because it's old.
FIFA had huge plans for SoFi (they were the original plan for the final) but it's already too narrow for World Cup games in its current state and there are already not enough seats for their current requirements for a final match.

I read time zone was indeed an ( I shouldn’t have said the issue) for the final this year. LA times pointed it out saying the stadium is too far from Europe.
If SoFi had all the seats they needed, a 12 or 1pm local start would have been just fine.
If the Rose Bowl had been modernized in the last last years, same thing. The Final will get ratings no matter what city it's in and it will always be broadcast at a European friendly time anyway, like playing most of the 1986 World Cup in Mexico in daylight during the summer.
If distance from Europe meant anything, they'd only be playing on the East Coast or in one country. It's just double talk. All the FIFA leadership care about is money, gifts, and perks.

How much tickets usually cost for the group stage? I may try to attend a game at SoFi.
