Def forgot about No Way out......

Im not sure country grammar a classic...then again i never really listened to it

i recommend listening to the album it's one of those captured lighting in bottle type of album. The right rapper came along at the right time. Nelly had his own sound and ran with it. I''m far from a Nelly fan and I think he's a mediocre rapper at best, but the album is sort of groundbreaking. Listen to Country Grammar and you will see the influence it has till this day.

Melachi & Lil Dap were not wack, they where average mc's yes limited, yes with irritating voices at some point and yes who happenned to spit on ill beats whether on livin proof or a tear for the ghetto. BUT they had a natural attitude on a mic that makes them cool to listening to, Like real ghetto dudes, no bragging, no fakeness, just honest and simple rap

nas and master p are the only names listed in this thread so far that actually have bonafide classics.

really, its not possible to be wack and have a classic album.

I know a lot of people on this site might rush to say master p, but at the end of the day, dude is responsible for way more classic music than a lot of the all-time elites. so obviously, he cant be too wack.

No, they were wack and were painful to listen to and Livin Proof is not a classic, it is just a production masterpiece. shyt is highway frisbee status once they open their mouths

I disagree simply because their emceeing wasn't dull enough to not enjoy the beats, that album got a good replay value and one of the best album for winter along with Hell on earth
