Ralph Lauren is descending into Burlington Coat Factory and clearance racks.

They've always been in BCF, Filenes Basement, Ross, etc. Thats where the irregular shyt gets sold, that isn't good enough for the racks at Macy's, L&T, etc.

Waning popularity with the people who made it important. Most definitely. Ralph sold out. What made the brand great was exclusivity and the belief that the only other people wearing it were of the same class. Now everyone is wearing it. Yes he's sold more but the people who made it what it was have moved on to Vineyard Vines, Southern Marsh to go along with more staple brands in LL Bean, Brooks and J. Crew. Do you though

I grew up, lived, played in one the premier zip codes in the DMV(Loudoun County). Growing up Polo was the "it" brand. By 2005, I saw more Polo in Prince George County than Loudoun. Again the people who made it what it was ain't rocking that corny shyt no more.
