it might provide that edge to hit something you've been barely missing but common sense would tell you 20 pounds from not beating off is stupid to consider
I never said you didn't burn calories but eating a meal before you sleep...
Your metabolism slows down heavily when you're sleep. If you ate a 1000 calorie meal before you went to sleep, you're body would digest that before it could be burned off regardless of what you ate before that last meal. You still burn calories but at a much slower rate
