He was an icon when he was alive imo put probably would have fallen off or quit with how trash rap has slowly become.

No one was talking this icon or greatest talk when he was alive. He was just a Dope rapper. The best thing that happened was him dying because prior to that he was being clowned during the east west beef, he dies and puffy goes into over drive with this greatest ever talk.

Nope but I honestly think Pac would be.

Biggie's allure lowkey dies with each generation. His influence isn't nil on most rappers right now

If he was making bread like that in the streets, then why sign a deal, AZie, as wack as he was, funded his career which didn't last long. Biggie wasn't rich like that man foh lol. Tony Braxton sold more than twice as many records as Big and what's her story?

so I guess you’re just trolling now
once again if you don’t like dude
just say it and keep it moving

how ridiculous you sound saying if he was making bread in the street he shouldn't have signed a record deal are you serious !!! who da hell is gonna choose selling drugs on the block with the potential to go to jail versus making music in the studio with the potential to be famous and make millions of dollars

and what the hell is Toni Braxton have to do with anything do you even understand the music industry most of these female R&B stars don’t write songs ; don’t write music ; don’t produce the song & don’t know how to do anything but just sing the vocals
they basically go into the studio and get coached up into making said song and again, if you understand this industry one makes the most money by writing and producing

don't like him? nikka i still own 2 different versions of RTD on vinyl(not represses) and 2 cd versions(original, not the remaster with "who shot ya"). Cd singles, 12"s , everything. If I hate that nikka's music and have bought all of that music and have playlists of him on my ipod, I'm during a horrible job of "hating". wtf. In high school before RTD dropped, I had a poster of biggie on the wall next to Outkast from one of the early VIBE mags when they were the size of newspapers. Biggie came here to perform a year before he was killed at the national guard armory. I didn't go but a friend of mine went and got pics. He and lil Kim were staying at the holiday inn on memorial cuz that's where all the rappers stayed when they came here. So wtf you talking bout?

Yes, he was one of the top rappers in the golden era. He would have continued to be.

Jay-Z on the other hand would be Az status :sas2:

The only reason I asked you that question several times because it seem like you had an agenda

you started out in this thread with saying something that is considered a lie or better yet a half truth (
having to sell half of his publishing for being broke) and then when I corrected you came back with moving the goalpost (his 1st check from bad boy shyt) and ever since then you been on this he started and ended his career as a broke nikka shyt (which is a flat out lie)

so YES..... I thought you had some type of agenda

at the end of the day, there never been any proof that he was broke / signed a bad deal / in debt or whatever negative shyt yall love to post
you can go thru this thread & read the back n forth between me & @THE RETIRED SKJ aka thcoli so called accountant whom always into a nikka pocket or a bytch purse .... notice how he made a bunch of reckless statements and when i challenged him on the particulars he decided to fall back

Brehs overestimating saying he would be where Jigga is at, Jigga has the Beyonce trump card:sas1: or would have Big stopped that from happening aswell:comeon::comeon: Also cant tell me he woulda kept the backing of NY making shiny suit, jiggy rap, especially with X coming in grimy. Would he have stopped Jay making Blueprint, Black album and the whole Rocafella movement:comeon: Would he have stopped :blessed: Ferrari crushing the game:blessed:

He made sure DIDDY didnt eat off Jr mafia and Cease and Kik and charlie bmore

Thats why he had them on Atlantic as opposed to Bad Boy

BIG SIGNED A BAD DEAL.....

Puff was Recouping everything before Big seen a Cent...

Had the man go back to selling dope and bootleggiglng his own CDs...

And even contemplated joining the DEATH ROW camp..

Cause that fukkbwoi Puff was all in his videos and charging him for it.....

Puff wasnt his friend...and would never allow Big to be a boss...

Just like Big Meech told him...'none of your artist got paper"

This makes sense because it seems with that whole Death Row Freestyle he was showing and proving for Suge
