After how poorly he handled the shyt with Pusha T....seriously doubt it.

Dude dropped a press release in the middle of a rap battle then J. Prince had to step him and save him from further embarrassment. Then he went on Bron's show and cried about how unfair it was.

If you ignore all that....and the the fact that it's unprecedented in the history of rap....nobody else has ever been given those passes....then yeah, sure, knock yourself out.

Fred.
If all this wasn't an issue, where would you place him? :jbhmm:

He's the most popular rapper of the last decade.
Can jump on any single and make it hot.
His quotables are up there with Hov.
He's a dope rapper but we can't assume that he writes any of that shyt.

If the Meek beef never happened, would he be mentioned with the goats?
no

Nah. Nikkas like Nelly and Drake are popular and when the dust settles both sold millions, dropped some classic tracks but they just not in the discussion for GOAT MCs. He needed a Blackberry to drop a freestyle.... Which he still fumbled. They have their lane and made millions and fukked some bad woman so Im sure they happy with their legacies and both know they ain't in the conversation for elite MCs.
Nelly obviously on a different planet than drake haha you serious?

Most def and i enjoy some of his music but i aint a fan

His run is unparalleled

not pac
Not jay
Not em
Not wayne

Been as consistent for over a decade as drake

but the ghostwritin shyt will make him bein remembered as a top pop act

that is unless hip hop changes in the future n ghostwritin becomes accepted

Never gonna happen. Not amongst those we think of as the greatest lyricists.

This discussion is a silly one.

There's far more ghostwriting than most people know...and with past and future cases everyone shrugs it off like they only care that HE did it

Most people really only listen to people of a certain generation. Kids don't care about G Rap, Ra, Black Thought, Mos Def or whoever else

The average fan was never listening for lyrics

Older fans tend to either move on completely and many hate the new school for being different

Anything good no matter how good will be played out when people hear too much of it

His music has had a decline that is unrelated to the ghostwriting allegations

He sings...and is not a great singer. Some people repulsed by his rapping voice

His music bangs but he's insecure, try hard, tender, and a bit of a joke. Especially the fake accents. Especially when trying to be hard.

Still strongly prefer him to Kendrick, Cole, Sean, Meek, etc though.

Nelly does have a classic with Country Grammar but they're in that same lane. Nelly tried lots of styles, Drake does too. Neither can freestyle but at least Nelly writes his own shyt. Drake didn't grow up in the culture either but he is just a modern day Nelly. That commercial /pop lane and isn't in the Nas type category,
