His first step crossover was elite he blew by MJ, GP on the regular.. Just admit you didn’t see the dude play..
the system would work in any era though, all you have to do is pair him with a good finisher. him and a healthy zion are a deep playoff team for example. him and giannis would be in the finals every year.
people forget his defense too, he didn't set the all time record for steals because he was playing passing lanes all game. he was pat beverly with better hands. pesky annoying and high key a dirty player on d.
And none of them athletic ass cats don't even know how to play defense. That's how a 52 year old CP3 is still in the game now giving them work. This isn't the argument against him that you think it is. His basketball IQ alone is cooking most of the league.

Is this era where they only run PnR and lobs, and still can't avg 14apg....let alone 12apg for 7 straight seasons. His passing was elite. You didn't have to be open for him to find you, because once he saw you being open 3 movements ago. Very few PGs had that ability. As for scoring, he could shoot, he just didn't do it enough. That's something Zeke, Magic and others greats say they wished he'd done more of, so the casuals would realize how great he was.
As for getting beat, his skill was knowing where you were trying to be, and beating you there. Even as the game sped up, and PGs got shifter he stayed with that skill. Today's PnR wouldn't kill him because they don't set true picks. They don't seal off the defender...they also don't know how to make the entry pass.
Even in this era, he's still would've given you at least 15 & 12 for 6-8 straight years.

Hold old were you when he was in his prime, I'm talking from 89-96. Dude was a career double digit assist and was a 52/82/84 in a more physical era. He ran circles around a much younger Jason Kidd at 40.
De'Aron Fox is one of the fastest players in the league and most of you dude's wouldn't trade for him. PG is one of the most cerebral positions in all of sports and I don't think most of these PG could compete with the Isiahs, Magics, the Mark Jacksons or the Jason Kidds of the world.
