without pharell and timbaland?

i dont blame him for sticking with a proven formula, but it takes away from his artistry imo. he's a predictable one-tick pony.

someone like chris brown has made hits across many genres/sounds. i would say he doesn't even have a signature sound. yet he's arguably the goat of this generation of pop / rnb acts.

No, he wouldn't be who he is, but him sticking with a proven formula and taking all that time between albums is why he has longevity. Even still, Timberlake has gone further with Timbaland because Timbaland can give you hits in different genres, but still keeping a signature sound.

That's where a lot of artists fall off because they abandon a huge part of what made their sound.

:dahell: Chris Brown is the prime example of an Artist who needs to work with only a few producers.

:heh: Chris Brown aint on Timberlake's level at all

:rudy: lets be real here. chris brown is everything jt (and the other justin) wants to be (aside from usher). jt is stiff as a board and has zero versatility.

lets not pretend breezy wouldn't dust him on the dance floor. :aicmon:

I.e. Janet Jackson with Jam & Lewis and Yung Joc with Nitti. Deviate from the formula and willingly blow up your own spot.

Justin Timberlake was smart for dumping Pharrell when he did.

Off Topic but I can't believe TI last album was exec produced By Pharrell. Such a waste of time

:mjlol:

Timberlake can go to the damn Country Music Awards and perform, playing guitar and putting on a 9-minute rockabililly/folk/blues medley hoedown to steal the show.

Just say you like Chris Brown more, dont lie.

Breezy is arguably the best Dancer of any Pop or R&B artist All-time outside of M.J., so you won't see any argument from me on that.

The probelm with Chris Brown's music is he has no Direction. His 1st album is still his best album. Dude would benefit greatly if he just worked with only a few establshed producers like other R&B/Pop artists such as Usher, Ginuwine, Janet Jackson, J.T., Mariah Carey, & etc have done in the past.
