That wasn’t the point, the point is that the Raptors have been a consistently well run franchise for over half a decade. I’m not sure why people keep discounting how good the Raptors were this year and how phenomenally coached they were in the playoffs. The defence was impregnable and the Raptors were missing arguably their best one on one perimeter defender in OG (casuals wouldn’t know). That said, by game three of each series, Nurse had found a way to neutralize the other team’s best player.every single year has had a team with a better record then y'all
Also, Kawhi was hurt for the second half of the playoffs, Kyle Lowry was getting injections every game for a dislocated thumb and couldn’t feel his left hand many games. Siakam had a calf injury since Game 3 vs Philly. Let’s not pretend it was a full strength Raptors team that faced the Warriors. Both teams were banged up, but yes, the Warriors missing Durant obviously played a huge role.
Kawhi and Lowry both missed around 20 regular season games and the Raps still won 58. This wasn’t some shyt team that got lucky.
Klay-less Warriors? He played in 5 of 6 games and played most of game two and six and was easily the Warriors best player in the series.
Raps beat the Warriors. Period.

The Raptors were a 60 win team the year before with Demar Derozan. They replaced him with Kawhi, they replaced Valanciunas with Marc Gasol and Pascal Siakam became an all-star caliber player yet y’all are acting like Kawhi was playing with some bums. Kawhi only shot 40% against the Bucks and struggled mightily against a Warriors team that was a shell of itself without KD and an injured Klay. I mean Kawhi was outscored by three of his teammates in the closeout game of the finals. Kawhi had an amazing series against Philly but had two great games in the finals but his playoff run isn’t any more spectacular than Lebron’s in 2018 or even Steph and KD’s the last few seasons.
