But yea Dipset dropped a career's worth of music over the span of ~4 years? They made more music in their time at Rocafella than Wu Tang did in the last 20 years, I think. To be honest I can't even fault them for not having lasted super long, they burnt out.

Yeah, Jim came into his own on Hustler's P.O.M.E. whereas Jim didn't know what he wanted to be (I mean he was calling himself the Ghetto Advocate at the time ), Talking To The World was my shyt though on that

Let me not even forget those DukeDaGod More Than Music joints he was putting out. More Than Music 1 AND 2 were fire. MTM1 was like the last hurrah for The Heatmakerz

there won't be a group that has that kind of spirit. Example: Coke Boys here in NY is popular and they try to capture the spirit of what Dipset was doing (especially with the beats they choose.) Something's missing. French is their star and everybody fukks with Chinx Drugz, but nobody out here is tryna be like Flip or Cheeze. Charlie Rock had them hooks but he's gone. Dipset had an army of people you were fukkin with. They were getting you hooked on freestyles over the phone from jail, dudes like Un Kasa spazzin (they made that nerdy looking motherfukker look gangsta as fukk) Freeky Zeekey didn't even rap at the time and you'd check for his skits. It was too unified.

Dipset was real friendship, thats the difference. A lot of "groups" today are created in boardrooms. Slaughterhouse being the most egregious example. nikkas had zero chemistry. Nowadays nikkas link up on some DJ Khaled "lets get money" shyt. Or if they are lifelong friends they are just wack. shyt is just a job now.

You look at Chinx Drugz, hes a smart dude, hes kind of charismatic. But his heart's not in it. Its a cash grab.

Talent wise I'd definitely say TDE/Black Hippy are better than dipset.
But in terms of image and "coolness" I don't think Dipset will be matched.

TBH i forgot about Ty Beats and it's a shame that he doesn't get more credit than he probably deserves. He's got a really unique type of sound that definitely deserves more recognition.

Which is why A$AP Mob has a chance. Those guys literally studied under Dipset so they know what they gotta do (A$AP Yams was a Dipset intern) so they'll be interesting to watch, especially if Ferg and Ty Beats use 2013 as a year to blow up

I dunno bruh. I dont follow these guys too close, but I saw some of their freestyles. They have a long way to go. I mean everyone remembers when Dipset shut down Hot 97. Un Kasa stole the show. A$AP Mob doesnt have a tenth of his charisma/energy. Or their overall chemistry.
