Well one day when my son spoke back to his mom, her boyfriend boxed with my son as discipline. Soon as I heard this, I drove up to the house and told that dude I get it, you the man of the house and kids need disciplined when out of line but dont you ever put your hands on my kids again. Also told my ex wife don't ever let me hear that he put his hands on them again too.

how is my original statement bullshyt? And just becuz you approach someone and tell them how you feel doesn't mean you controlled the situation. You addressed it and hoped for the best. Like I said all you can do is hold up your end of the bargain. The child will see if one situation is better than the other. As long as my daughter is still happy, still has the same personality and behaviors, and is still doing well in school Im good becuz I know she's thriving

I feel like ALL the adults need to come to an agreement about discipline. I think its weird to have one household that spanks, but the other household just makes you write " I will not be disobedient" 1000000 times.

At the same time I rarely spank. Maybe twice a year. We have to be on the same page. If I only spank for big problems, I wont have a partner that believes in spanking because the child spilled milk on the floor.
