This is one of the most understated qualities people overlook in players.

Tim Duncan couldn't double jump to save his life in the second half of games during the Finals.

Patrick Ewing couldn't double jump for most of his career.

its amazing actually, just a great feat of both athleticism & endurance.

he does it a couple times in this clip:

@dantheman9758 has a pretty amazing clip of him blocking back to back kareem sky hooks, its absolutely incredible :wow:

wilt is such a freak of a specimen & athlete all in one, its amazing. greatest/most unique athlete ever

With that athleticism and stamina Wilt would ball in any era. People don't doubt that Kareem and Julius could play in this era cause they played in the 70's and 80's and that's closer to the modern game. But Wilt was playing in the 70's too in his early to mid 30's and was still putting in work. He might not have got the 25 boards a game like he got in the 60's but he would have been just like Rodman getting 15-18 boards consistently every season. Not to mention great and underrated passing ability to match. Another thing Wilt doesn't get enough credit for is his incredible stamina and endurance. To be able to play basically the whole game season in and season out and only suffer one major injury is just amazing. I wonder how long he could have played and how much better his numbers would be if his teams managed his minutes earlier in his career and he would have played till he was 40 like Kareem.

He was getting offers to play at age 50 from the Cavaliers and New Jersey Nets. The only reason he stopped playing was because of a legal issue when he jumped leagues (NBA to ABA to become "playercoach" - so the Lakers sued him) which forced him to not play for a season. The year of sitting out was basically followed by lack of desire to return to basketball not health - he went on to play professional volleyball for the decade after that. Even with all the mileage he had he would have still played into his 40's easily. The Lakers in the Magic/Kareem era wanted him to return to be backup C for Kareem in his mid to late 40's when Kareem began to slow down but Wilt didn't want to play backup for anybody. This is when he was playing pickup games with Magic and still capable of completely shutting down the basket if somebody made him mad. I remember hearing about him getting offers in his 40's and 50's. And he probably still would have been a contributor to a team. Wilt was probably the eighth wonder of the world.

I'd like to point out those are indeed all clips of Wilt vs Kareem... and if your wondering why Kareem isn't in all the frames when Wilt is scoring buckets or blocking shots it's because he's on the bench or on the other end of the floor catching his breath. Wilt never needed a rest.

can you post the clip of wilt blocking back to back sky hooks from KAJ?

:noah::noah::noah::noah: at freaking 35 years old

Imagine what he would be doing at the 5 in this era. Dwight Howard, Roy Hibbert, Brook Lopez,......barbq chicken :shaq2::shaq2:

I know a lot of people on here like to shyt on the different eras, talking about unnathletic white boys etc, but watching the video you can easily see how this Wilt could beast today. The dude is just big...no homo and can bully his way around like its nothing.

No.

And also, that video says more about KAJ than Wilt. When Wilt was 35 years old, KAJ was 24 years old.....and Wilt was blocking him/dunking on him like it was nothing.

Thinking about what a younger Wilt would have done to him is crazy.

Both of them are my LWO GOAT Centers though along with Shaq.

So what centers are you taking over this version of Wilt?

co-signed, I'm interested to hear this too. Also for clarification, KAJ and Wilt were 10 years apart, so a 35 y/o Wilt faced a 25 y/o Kareem - and that version of Kareem already held the scoring title, a championship with Finals MVP, and a league MVP.
