I remember hearing about him getting offers in his 40's and 50's. And he probably still would have been a contributor to a team. Wilt was probably the eighth wonder of the world.

He would dominate obviously. The only issue would be whether they would let him play or ticky tack him to death.

If they ticky tack him to death defensively (which was not a characteristic of his era) his defense might take a hit - but inversely his offensive game would open up equally is much. Wilt was not one to fail to recognize and capitalize on different situations. I have footage of him driving like a forward when opportunities opened up in the NBA and of course some additionally revealing footage of his face-up game from his "point guard" year as a globetrotter. If he played like that in the modern era it'd still be game over. Imagine Wilt driving to the bucket with a full head of steam today... I wonder how many players would be brave enough to take a charge from Wilt.

So what centers are you taking over this version of Wilt?

None.

The question was "Would u pick any center in the league today over a 35 y/o Wilt Chamberlain" and my first sentence or word was saying "No".....implying that I wouldnt.

As we can see, if Wilt was dominating a prime 24 year old Legendary Center like KAJ.....imagine what he would do to Brook Lopez:yeshrug:

Come on breh, why you keep trying to argue with me? We supposed to be Bucs brothers:to:

I think 2000/2001 Shaq could put up similar numbers in the 60s/early 70s

Phil Jackson recently compared Shaq and Wilt (and keep in mind he only played against the older LA Wilt), and he said they were similar athletes outside of Wilt's stamina. He pointed out the minutes / games-a-season Wilt played and tried to use the level of conditioning Wilt had as a motivational tool for Shaq to constantly try and improve in that area and stay in shape because Shaq did not possess that gift. I believe Wilt's stamina is at least one of the pre-requisits to Wilt's numbers. Though Shaq is probably as close as any center has gotten to the other tools Wilt posessed.

@dantheman9758 can you hook this up?
Someone else already has one on Youtube

I don't try to copycat vids, unless you really want I could possibly do it up with a different playback speed with different commentary/audio track or something (I actually hate the commentary they dubbed over the clip... they used a 60's Philly 76ers commentator from a well-known Philadelphia 76ers playoff game. Just doesn't fit being that Wilt is a Laker in the clip)
