You think you're going to have a productive conversation about political systems in TLR
I'm not an advocate for communism nor democracy
....outside of an adequate context
(you can't be a small 2-10million citizen emerging economy trying to practice "democracy" in a context where even mid size foreign companies, not to mention large nations can buy your elections)
That's the problem with a place like Cuba or even Zimbabwe. once you take over a country like that you are not in a context to practice "democracy" as larger more established countries do. The best you could do is a china and...
1. Seal yourself off from the rest of the world(no travelers or foreign investors).
2. Create a # year development plan
3. Establish(successfully practice) your political system and method of political transition
4. Establish a core educational & economic track
- Fund private citizen merchants to go overseas and purchase needs like medical supplies, cars, electronics, etc.
- Create a teachers university by funding private citizens to go overseas and bring back knowledge of vital industries.
5. Provide resources in terms of land & seed money to establish basic economy(feed, cloth, house the nation) based on #4 above.
6. Then open your country up to foreign travelers & international business
