Just curious. :patrice:

Everyone talks about how they would support and support etc. but if someone had an "invite only" all black would you pay to support that app and be a member?

What is the MOST you would pay to join an all black social media network. Free speech :blessed: no spammers and no trolling, no :mjpls:, just a place to share accomplishments, news, articles where you know the user base and admin are there to support Black people

EDIT:

Thank you all for the responses so far. It's all hypothetical right now.

One thing I find interesting is that we are all quick to join and complain about FB or IG banning black people and allowing hate speech toward us, but it seems like we aren't too interested in supporting something for a little bit of money, that would seemingly cater to us.

Link to said site?

not up yet. Honestly, I'm just sourcing the idea before I spend any money toward it. Just looking to see if there would be any interest.

It's funny because most people say "we need our own" but :whoa: when it comes to supporting.

And then

We spend $5 on a starbucks, but if someone asks you for $5 for something you ask for we hit the :camby: which is funny.

So right now, just looking for honest feedback on whether or not someone would pay for an exclusive black social network, no complaining about FB anymore if you can contribute and support an all black platform :manny:

i think the problem you're gonna run into nobody gonna pay $5 to join a site if it ain't even poppin. you would prolly need a large user base before you could start charging. :yeshrug:

Is there going to be some sort of verification to make sure potential members are really Black?
how would you verify this?

the only thing I've thought of is "invite only" and then a very strong/active admin willing to ban members :manny:

I think if someone is paying $5 monthly it might deter some people from joining and throwing their money away (if someone joined without being invited somehow)

but nothing is fool proof. My question though is only hypothetical for now.

I don't see the difference between a "Black" social network and Black Twitter. What's the difference between this and the Coli or r/BlackPeopleTwitter? There are even Black only discords?

If your business depends on charity or donations or "support" or whatever people wanna call it, you shouldn't make it.

Your number one goal and only objective as a business owner is to make money. Why limit yourself by catering to like 12 percent of the USA population when you can you know, make a social network that everyone uses and make millions of dollars.

When I make my social network, I ain't thinking about some social or ethical or whatever bullshyt. :manny:

As an aspiring Black business owner, you are gonna have to understand that the market trumps everything, nobody and I am being serious, nobody gives a fukk who owns what, because if the service is good, you gonna pay for that shyt anyway. Just because you are Black, doesn't mean Black folks are gonna pay for your shyt, only color that matters in the marketplace is green.

Focus on anything else, you are gonna fukk yourself and be bitter.

No one's paying $5 a month for a website. And I need to know what you consider black. TheColi has a very loose definition of black. If cardi bs and fat joes are running around the site, it's definitely a no go for me.
