It is charity though.
Because in reality, could a Black social network, compete with Twitter?
No.
.
. A social network aimed at being a safe place for black people. That’s all.
Would it be open to Black people with views that aren't popular with a lot of other Black people?
but i genuinely appreciate every response. When I posted this, I thought it would be the complete opposite. Jokes on me
Yes. The goal would be constructive discourse (when there are disagreements)
Insults, etc. would lead to people getting banned. I’m imagining an active moderator/admin who cares about the climate. I thought of the safeguard of having it be invite only, and a pay wall, so that only people who actually wanted a constructive place would join and invite others.
The pushback is realbut i genuinely appreciate every response. When I posted this, I thought it would be the complete opposite. Jokes on me

That’s a fallacy.
Not every company aims to overtake and defeat their “competition”
Some companies (like a vegan restaurant) aren’t trying to defeat McDonald’s. They are trying to turn a profit AND serve their specific customers.
That’s what this would be. A social network aimed at being a safe place for black people. That’s all.

@TL15
I just tried to sign up for BlaqSpace, they charging $120 for a whole year and 10 for 30 days
Breh, I can just make another Facebook or Instagram account![]()

We are talking about services that already exist.
Ithe dialogue and have no I’ll will so sorry if I’m sounding bad. I want your opinion on the original topic, not a jaded version based on experience:
Let’s say there was a black developer who was trying to do something positive and exclusive for black people. Server costs, updates, etc would get expensive and that developer would need the support of the customers to keep it running and lively.
If that person made a community that focused on positive interactions around and for black people and made it invite only to keep the fukkery low (no “catches” or loopholes, remember this is just hypothetical, I’m not asking anyone for money in real life) what (if anything) would you be willing to spend to support it (if anything). OR, is that not something you would support?
That’s all I’m trying to ask and I’m sorry if I’m coming off the wrong way.
