Most NBA players that are permanent bench are making less than a mil a yr, while being an overseas superstar is gonna get you a lot endorsements on top of the salary.

If you're the 12th man on an NBA roster it's highly unlikely you're going to go to a competitive league overseas and be a superstar. At best you'll probably be average. You're really underestimating how good the players are in the top leagues overseas. No fringe NBA player is going over there and dominating anything. Most of those guys struggle to find a roster spot on a year to year basis.

Assuming the money is the same, I'd rather be in the NBA.

Sure the status is fleeting, but depending on the relationships you make it can last quite a while after you retire. Nobodies gonna be treating you like a star, but when your retired at 45 back here in the States, who is gonna have the easier time getting access to all star weekend events with their teenage son, the former role player who's made friends with stars and front office folks over the years or the guy who was a star in Croatia ten years ago? :usure:

You do have a point :ehh:

Plus you can make your money longer if your kids want to become NBA or WNBA stars. They'll deff have a career based off of their father being in the NBA. Del Curry is a perfect example

word. as a bench player, you can try to be a student of the game and parlay that shyt into an assistant coach job in the future. or parlay your connections to superstars on the teams you were on into future business deals.

plus i'd rather live at home in the States than in a Euro country.
