There are a ton of people who see wrong doings at their job. They don't say anything for fear of being fired or passed on promotion potential. Now if they speak up and get fired, their mortgage lender isn't going to give two shyts about their ethics and why they were fired. They just care about receiving that mortgage payment and will foreclosure if they don't. Folks just need to be honest about the system we live in now.

Let's say you were a prominent millionaire in the midst of racial/political/religious turmoil. Would you be willing to speak out against the power structures if it meant potentially losing endorsements, money, status, etc? Would you risk it?

Or would you stay silent because you have yourself and your own family to worry about and you don't want to jeopardize being able to provide for them just for a morally good cause?

You gain nothing and achieve nothing by saying anything against them. You know damn well nobody is rallying for your aid afterwards.
