Most successful, yes.

But producing is such a broad topic.

There are many claims to the title for different reasons.

Most successful: Dr. Dre.

Best Run: Dr. Dre (NWA, D.O.C., Chronic, Snoop are all classic even iconic albums)

Best sample flipper: DJ Premier isn't the typical looper and will chop a sample beyond recognition.

Most influential: Dr. Dre is to Hip Hop production what Michael Jordan is to the NBA, what Michael Jackson is to music in general

Best Drums: Timbaland hands down

Best mix: Dr. Dre

^^^ IMO.

Dr. Dre is easily the greatest Hip Hop producer. He's the most influential and many of the other greats attest to his greatness as a producer. I've seen Marley Marl, Premier, Timbaland, Kanye West, and many other producers talk about how great Dre is. Not only that, but with Dre's production, you're looking at 30 years of Hip Hop. From NWA to Kendrick Lamar with Snoop, D.O.C., Eminem, 50, and The Game in between.

All things considered I think Dre is the goat..Those albums he made in the early 90s still sound good now while other producers stuff sounds kinda dated

bruh, dre has had well over 20 some years of a run in hip hop. the neptunes stopped as duo for the most part (with only a few exceptions) like 10 years ago

the neptunes was in high school when dre was puttin' out classics and then when the neptunes finally hit it big dre was still puttin' out classics

Believe me when I tell you from 00-04 the Neptunes OWNED the radio...they worked w/ EVERYBODY & prob have way more platinum plaques than even Dre

Yes, his beasts left a mark on hip hop, his mixing became the gold standard, he took many raw talents and produced them to being superstars and he made two goat contender plus he was behind the boards with NWA.

Dre is far and away the goat.

Timbaland, Scott Storch is up there. Mannie Fresh and Justice League

Plus.......

Dre

Didn't really create all of his biggest hits.
This. while he does get credit for that sound , he gave a lot of producers "keys to the whip" who fine tuned that sound over the years
like battlecat for instance

In this thread, hip hip producers that haven't remotely did what Dre has, will be mentioned. They will most likely be East coast and popular in the early mid nineties.

In this thread, people will confuse real shyt, with DUMB shyt. However they will not be able to challenge or dispel the real shyt that they've labeled dumb shyt
