If you haven't heard that Wayne album in years, how are you going to say the production is just as classic as Straight Outta Compton?

because i remember liking it more than the production on any other cash money album, including the ones that blow SOC out of the water in terms of beats.

btw, 400 degreez is a better overall album than anything dre produced outside of chronic & "doggystyle".

yea lets look at these dre classics:
chronic - str8 rip
doggystyle - daz
whats left? eazy & SOC?
efil4zaggin is a classic to some. scandals all around that one.

I get liking producers or personally favoring other producers over Dre. Objectively speaking though, would you put 400 Degreez or Lights Out in the same echelon of albums as SOC, Chronic, Doggystyle, or efil4zaggin?

Premo isn't a producer who is going to give you commercial smashes. He's never really produced an entire album for an MC of Nas, Jay, Biggie, or Pac's caliber. He's never produced an album for an MC who blew up due to his production. He has, however, contributed a lot to many of the albums that are heralded as classics. He really does live up to his name, because he produced standout songs on premier albums from the greatest Hip Hop artists.
That's all i need to know. if he didnt help anyone blow,he cant be on my list of kings in hiphop production. EVEN THOUGH he's made a ton of tracks i like. I'm a fan,but I really salute the nikkas i call ban leaders, the nikkas that pushed of Posse nikkas to the forefront with their dopeness..

classics in terms of what? production or the overall album? cuz the production is all that should matter.

an album like say lil wayne's "lights out" is just as classic as straight outta compton in terms of production.

edit: in fairness, i havnt heard that wayne album in YEARS.

youre right. i brought up the 11 year run as a tiebreaker to seperate him from the other 4 produers. my bad.

but i never attacked you personally in this thread. what are you talking about?

nikka stop hating. Chronic is classic produced by DRE period. Doggystyle too. Efilzaggin too. nikkas wanna credit daz. What did daz do even remotely on doggystyle's level since he so called produced that and that goes for anyone else you want to credit for the albums DRE PRODUCED

Daz's involvement on Doggystyle has been confirmed, by himself, for only a few tracks: "Ain't No Fun", "For All My nikkaz & bytches" and "Serial Killa".

in terms of what?

in terms of production? yes definitely.

in terms of overall albums? 400 degreez is better than "straight outta compton" and way better than "efil4zaggin". and theres other cash money albums of note in terms of overall and especially production value.

wayne wasted most of those "lights out" beats.

so what changed his tune?

actually i said you dont like east coast beats.

i shouldve said RAW east coast beats - and thats a true statement.

thats not hating.

i heard dam near the whole chronic before there was even a death row. how much credit can i possibly give him for that?

daz produced dogg food after that. the better question is what did dr dre do after doggystyle? oh yea, he had sam sneed doing his next string of classic beats.

I'm not saying you're wrong because it's an opinion. What's funny though is I'm quite sure you'd dismiss someone else's opinion if they posted the same thing you just posted in defense of other producers and albums.

No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
Rza was so far ahead of his time people are just getting onto what he was on 20 years ago.

Listen to preemo pre rza and post rza. Big difference

Rza was following the rainbow to switzerland funding technology people use today.

36
Tical
Return to the 36
Cuban linx
Liquis swords
Ironman
Wutang forever
Bobby digital
Supreme clientele
The w
Ghost dog

All classic beats. All done by rza. Rza dont get near the credit guys like dre get who executive produce albums but rza also setup the killarmy n subz of man albums. Cuban linx 2.

Noone can touch the man which is why yeaaaaars after his fall off hip hop atill considers him top 3.

With that said dre staid relevent by latching onto the hottest things at the time like snoop em 50 game kendrick. Rza kept it to the 8 guys he came up wit and the 50 people he put on from sunz of man to LAD
