$100,000 to buy the dog and tells the owner he's buying it to kill it in the most inhumane way possible.
$200,000 to buy the dog and tells the owner he's buying it to kill it in the most inhumane way possible but the owner has to watch it.
$300,000 to buy the dog and the owner has to put a baseball bat in his/her hands and beat it to death themselves.

this may come as a surprise to some of you, but a lot of people don't hold such reverence for their dogs and other pets. they see them as animals. i would sell my dog because to me an animal is an animal. We have been conditioned to like some more than others but I keep it fair and even.

The rest of you are hypocrites and here's why:

would you sell your fish for $100K?
Would you sell your Iguana for $100K?
would you sell your gerbil for $100K?
what about your pet turtle, would you sell that for $100K?

the fact that people will say yes to one species and not the other trips me out. it doesn't make you sadistic to acknowledge that an animal is at it's core, an animal. Just cuz Fido has a personality doesn't mean that the rest of us are gonna care.​

You're contradicting yourself. You acknowledge that humans place significance value on their relationships with dogs, what you call an "animal," while arguing that they're lower than us and undeserving of such considerations. Yet you also place other "animals" in lower tiers of significance. Which is it?

Hell nah. I’ve been with my dog every single day for 5 years. I legit had knots in my stomach when he got sick about a year ago and had to be rushed to the pet ER. At this point he’s family.

I felt the same way. I’ve had family pets before and never had a huge attachment to them but once I got my own dog it was different. Dude been with me from 14 weeks old to going on 5 years old next month. I can’t get rid of fam just for some money.

But I can’t knock anybody that would.
