I'm making the point that you did all that behind the scenes work just to get in her pants it seems like a waste to me.
Ehh, like i said it's just time talking every now and then inbetween other chicks, not that much work.
I guess the whole friendzone thing should be asked in context of a man pursuing a chick he wants to be in a relationship with, then i guess i could see throwing a chick to the bushes but i wouldn't do it just for her friendzoning. Would have to be some attitude issues also to make me wanna totally bail on a chick.

Tried that shyt. Figured it could work. Slowly but surely, I started picking up on things she did or behaviors she'd exhibit that made me realize it was for the best that she shot me down. Started realizing that once I took the romance side out of the equation (it wasn't even like she was a certified dime, but she has a warm, caring personality), we ain't have much in common.
Long story short, I got to a point where I was like, "She no longer adds value to your life and said life wouldn't be worse off without her presence. Place her in the bushes."
And that's how that went. Defriended her on FB, deleted her number out of my phone. Should we ever cross paths and she says hi, I can be cordial. But I no longer have any real investment as to how the rest of her existence plays out, so all the best to her.
