Did you ever think that she might be a better nurse than you? Thay she might be more compotent than yoy? Maybe she never calls off or takes vacation? All workers ARE NOT created equal
All legitimate questions. The lil bytch couldn’t even insert a foley. She once called me to help with a foley and I looked at her and laughed. I reminded her we are all licensed professionals, and I told her to go get her nursing book if she felt confused.

But I see you’re a little prick, and I will keep that in mind for future reference.

I hate the fact that we know how much athletes make. And its clear they do it, to create a schism between us regular folk and them athletes.

So no i don't want this at all.

It can be made public within the company, but public to the public? :whoa: Nah. I'm good. :camby:
If you’re trying to make a move, wouldn’t this information be useful?

How many times have you pondered if leaving one job for another was really beneficial? How can more information be bad?

Anonymize the people and maybe. Only maybe.

Yes, for transparency. I was ranting before about how I used to work at a non-profit where the CEO was clearing about 400k and I was just barely a tenth over his salary. Obv I'm not fukking with a CEO but there were like 12 of us :feedme:

Otherwise, within a company hell yes, there def was pay discrepancies between the men and women, I'm positive. I'm def the coworker who fukking asks.

The primary argument for this would be transparency to combat wage discrimination.

Personally I would just want to know it for negotiating purposes.

i find glassdoor to be a great resource for salaries. for large companies, i always see my role represented with enough data to even compare what the salary should be by years of experience (not just a blanket average for the job title).

super small companies probably won't be listed, but you can still see the similar roles in your area, get a range of pay, and negotiate appropriately - lower the target some if you're not experienced or if you're working at a small company, ask for the higher end at a big company, etc.

having everyone's salary published still wouldn't be more helpful as things like being a top performer would make someone more deserving of higher pay. you got idiots who will see the highest salary for the role and ask for that with no consideration for how many years the person has been there, their performance, and to be honest, their connections/politicking.

there are tons of resources for salary data that can give accurate information on averages in your area, that's all you need to negotiate.
