Like I said, not sure about a law but if it was standard practice for salaries to be known internally and also for potential hires to be able to see salary data with maybe names not known but just positions under specific departments and managers, that would be awesome.

Imagine if you wouldn't have to play the stupid game of trying not to negotiate too high or too low when going into an interview? Like someone said, the secrecy of salaries is only meant for employers, not employees protection.

I would say the opposite.
At higher paying jobs the ability to negotiate is far more important than some retail job.

You can easily go from 120k to 160k on negotiation alone.

You need to reduce the price of goods as a percentage of income. Gov might have to up their subsidies to farmers and lower the price of groceries. I feel things need to be produced cheaper/more efficient.

I don't think there's a call to making every employee's finances public. But I definitely think high ranking employees - managers, executives, board members and such - should have publicly accountable salaries. And absolutely all politicians and public servants should make their incomes 100% transparent.

Not that I disagree, but UBI is very tricky to implement, this is a relatively easy first step to pulling back the cloak on compensation.
