Bruh.. 750x4 = 3000 a month.
Subtract rent. $3000 - 1200. You still have $1800 a month. You will be on a budget but you wont die.
You'll have $450 a week to take care of everything else. just dont be stupid with it. Most people dont make over 60K, so how are they making it out here.
I asked myself the same thing until I met people in the financial industry, started working in it, and saw the inner workings for myself.
A LOT of people are broke, in debt, live paycheck to paycheck to paycheck, and don't truly own anything they have. People out here posting pictures of new shyt they bought/trips they're taking, when they have $300 in the bank, and card balances are through the roof.
Some of those guys you see riding around in the big body 7 series BMW's on 22's, that fancy condo, all the designer shyt, are one paycheck away from losing it. Credit makes the things you see possible. How does someone who makes 60k have a car worth 50k, live in a house worth 200k, full of dope furniture, and closet full of nice stuff? They have bills out the ass. I've seen it with my own eyes, I know what goes on out here for the most part.
Some people do have money, but they have been in high 5 figures/6 figure range for years and years and live modestly. And by modest I mean AVERAGE. Theyre not pushing something new and shiny or living lavish. The line between broke and average is skewed nowadays, the bell curve is pushed so far to the left that if you're not doing it ALL you might as well not be doing it at all. But again, I live in Chicago. There's so much money to be seen here, sub 50k/salary isn't worth writing home about if you've got some real bills to pay
This is the coli.
Half of american households don't Eben make 50,000 a year
Yeah, but again, I've posted links to employment sources for my city numerous times. You can look up the figures yourself.
I've said it before, a librarian in my city makes 50k, IT guys clear 90k with 3 years experience, Accountants come out of school to 40-55k. My youngest sister just got a job with the govt in Indiana, fresh out of college, with a Finance degree at 48k/year. I came out of grad school to 58k years back and through grade promotions recently managed to break 70. New engineers make what I make with NO experience in the right markets.
It's possible to break that 50k plane, but I've never understood the thinking that its doing well, when that's just keeping your head above water in a big city. I saw too many fat cats when I was growing up to fall for the 40-60k is good money bullshyt, when you need to put a 1 in front of those figures to truly breathe easy, even living an AVERAGE lifestyle.
I listed those expenses (car note/insurance/gas/transit/etc) because they are expenses that an AVERAGE PERSON has. Go ask 10 people if they have those bills and 7/10 of them will say yes.
I completely left out children and student loans in my example/budget also. Those aren't cheap.
