That was more so in response to the folks being totally dismissive of DR. I mentioned that the The Dragon and Rose are going to give you the same thing essentially...19 5 5 give or take...just prefer Rose

You said you watch basketball, not stats. Yet, not only do you give box score stats as the basis of your argument, but it sounds like you just look at stats if you think Dragic and Rose give you the same thing. Dragic is the superior player in nearly every facet, and has been ever since 2012.

I used stats as a way to encapsulate what to expect from both guys. Dragon is a mid range guy that can get to the cup when he wants to. Even at this stage of Rose's career Rose is still the more athletic player. I like Dragon's midrange game more but once again from what I've seen it's not vastly superior to where it gives him a leg up in the conversation (i.e. CP3). He can distribute but that's not what got him his bread. The Dragon isn't winning you shyt and neither is D Rose at this point. I really don't see the point of dwelling too much on it :yeshrug:

The problem with this is, you're not "watching basketball" to make this claim - you're just looking at the stats. It's evident you didn't watch Dragic play last season (and probably the last few seasons at least), you don't need to juelzsantanagif to say otherwise.

Never knew dragic had stans. :skip:

He only shot like 60 3s vs dragic shooting 289 the whole season of course his 3p% was lower and you obviously glossed over the fact Knicks had a lot of dysfunction and played in a flawed system. No one is disrespecting Dragic. I'm just saying he's not that much better than you think he is. :dead:

Typically, the less attempts you take, the more efficient you are.

Except Dragic is much more efficient, gets more free throws, is pretty much Curry compared to Rose when it comes to shooting, gets to the lane at will, and finishes in the paint as good as Rose, and is plenty clutch.

Did you watch the Heat play?

So Dragic puts up better numbers across the board, is a better shooter, averages more assists, played more games, and is much more efficient but you're ignoring that because...what?

Dragic shot 40% from 3 and is one of the best perimeter players, in the entire league, at finishing at the rim while being elite in the paint.

I watch basketball I don't watch stats..

What I saw watching MSG last year was a Rose who was present for the majority of the season. I saw a Rose who got to the basket with relative ease. I saw a Rose who was an excellent late game option hitting big shot after shot for The Knickerbockers. I like both of these guys honestly. I don't think The Dragon does anything particularly unique compared to Rose so I give Rose the edge for his potential for late game heroics

Did you WATCH Dragic last year? Dragic was out here dropping 30 point games and 16 point quarters after his eye was busted. Dragic isn't an elite late game option now and doesn't get to the basket with ease? Dragic is the most consistent offensive threat on the entire team.

That's how I feel. Son ain't even a top 30 player for y'all to be so gassed but ok. I don't subscribe to the idea because the boy had a good year shooting from behind the arc that makes him a good shooter. I've seen the boy play and that's what I got. Sorry scrap

Depends on the attempts and the degree of difficulty. Also, other factors like rhythm and comfortability. At 60 over 82 games (if it is as he says) I don't think it is really that relevant.

THE SHOT IS 5-12 FEET BELOW THE FREE THROW LINE
SO ITS A SHOT INSIDE THE PAINT.

YOU CAN CALL IT
THE "IN BETWEEN GAME"
OR TOUCH SHOT.

WHEN WE SPEAK OF MID RANGE
WE'RE TALKING JUMP SHOTS.

So Dragic is a better and more efficient player around the rim, has a better in between game and is better in the paint in general, is literally on another planet as three point shooter but has a worse mid-range jumper? :ehh:

I can agree to that. :salute:

I didn't say he's much better, I think he's better though. He pretty much outperformed Rose in every single statistical category you can think of with a similar level of talent, similar minutes, similar usage rate, and in the same conference.

Did Dragic not have a better year than Rose?

That's how I feel

I mean, you can feel that Rondo is a better shooter than Steph Curry too :heh:

Depends on the attempts and the degree of difficulty. Also, other factors like rhythm and comfortability. At 60 over 82 games (if it is as he says) I don't think it is really that relevant.

Rose shot 20% despite defenders sagging off his ass. His three point shot is more broken than Giannis :heh:

That matters because it's a huge reason Dragic is a much more efficient offensive player than Rose. The threat he poses from three forces teams to play him much tighter, makes his PnR significantly more dangerous, and matters when talking impact on the court.

Teams literally begged Rose to shoot from three and treat him like Rondo while Goran pretty much gets guarded from 30 feet in yet Dragic is on an entirely other planet as a shooter :heh:

I can tell theres nikkas scared that D Rose could possibly still be a star level player

he doesnt have the leaping ability he once had. other than that, he looks like the same player to me. he never was a great 3-point shooter or defender. I dont know how people feel about prime Mo Williams, the All Star...but Rose right now is better than that. People still comparing him to the MVP Rose and thats why it doesnt seem like he is that good. Based off last year, yeah, Dragic was better but this year I think Rose moves back into the top 15 PG's. His speed and quickness is still elite.
