Rappers have no medical benefits, no 401 K and get to smash a bunch of bum bytches who fukk whatever rapper is n their city that night.

Also a good 90% of the people around you are only there temporarily while you're "hot".

Your career averages 2-5 years. That's why you see so many anxious to try to do whatever they can to extend it ie corny Reality Shows for chump change.

You gotta say which type of rapper though. Are you Dorrough or are you Jay-Z?

Are you Luda or are you J-Kwon?

I mean there are differences and there ain't that many who are getting really great money consistently. A whole lot of rappers whould love to see 150 k a year............

yeah we need more info to know which rapper we talking about,Jkwon im not so sure:russ:.

I just did the math at PaycheckCity.com | Paycheck Calculator Result
For the state of Texas at $150,000 a year your take home each month is $8,664.94
(And that's with no 401k)
So again back to what I said about the Condo and the Bentley.
You can do that and still put $2,500 a month into a safe, and live comfortably...

But you want to trick and stunt...
That's why you giving the answers you giving...

Now let me show you how to ball...
Pull up a chair...

We take that same $150,000 a year but this time we put in a 6% deduction to a 401K
That gives us a take home of $8,182.31, you can still get your Bentley and condo, and still put $2500 in a safe every month and live comfortably.

But now what you are doing is putting $750 a month tax free into a 401k, and most jobs have a dollar for dollar match up to about 3-5%...

So let's say your with your $750 and your employer ass matching you up to $350

You are putting $1100 into a tax free 401k.
And you play it safe and stick with something that gives you 7% a year return.

If you are 30 now, at age 65 you'd have a 401k amount of about $1,000,000...
A nice going home present for yourself...

But hey man...
I'm sure you'd much rather have beef with the Migos or Lil Durk over a misinterpreted freestyle and get shot after doing a show for $5,000 that some dope boys put together to impress their city...

Bu bu but Migos made a milly off Versace that's a fact:why:....Lemme ask you this though, just like you talkin about being smart with the 150K,dont you think the reason for these chart topping rappers financial struggles is because they are in fact stuntin beyond what they should, and not making smart decisions:patrice:?

Lets look at a Fabolous who has consistently been able to put out hits,i think its safe to say he's cleared about 3 million in his life time? If he don't have a nice going away present set up for himself by now that's his fault....I look at a E40 career occasionally drops chart toppers and been around 20 yrs still livin comfortable, can still tour.

If the stuntin aint really your thing as you have said the rapper thing should really be your pick it seem like:mjpls:...Its obvious that you just happen to love your job and the rapper lifestyle maybe don't seem appealing to you. Just like @Stuntone maybe aint the best example of what you COULD do with 150K without the stuntin, even though I :salute: em for living that life to the fullest...Maybe the rappers you are using aint the best examples of what to do with rap money:manny:.

I can tell a lot of you are broke and don't understand money. :pachaha:
First off, most 150k jobs are hell. Most 100k jobs are shytty. I'm at one right now. :why:

And 100k is really about 60k after tax and insurances. 150k ain't life changing money. Nice car, nice house, nice vacation, kids and your check to check w/o any accumulating savings.

A chart topping artist can do under the table shows for 60k tax free. See Boosie.

Ehhhh its do not think this is really a question of money its about lifestyle. A chart topping rapper like Drake is making 10s of millions. However some people don't really want all that attention. Some people would just rather live a normal not broke or struggling life.

Me personally woulda probably deal with the fame for like 2 or 3 years accumulate a lot of money and then soon enough i would fall off an no one would remember me anyways. I think thats the best option... but i would gladly take a regular 150K job over a regular rap career... i just wouldnt take a regular 150K job over a super successful chart topping career.

But 150gs is not realistic
You should day 70k - 90k
And thats way above avg

Its not supposed to be realistic, its supposed to be 'good enough' minimum to where you can contemplate wether you want to make a lot more money but deal with the stress of the rap world... vs just being cool and normal...

realistically average personal income is like 44K, 150K is nearly 4 times the average... which really you cant complain about but isnt life changing money...

travel is one of my bigger priorities in life.

I would choose the rap career in a heartbeat. If the money slows down I can leverage my fame to start a business or another hustle, or just finish my degree and get on with it.

9-5.
Nobodies gunna be coming up to my job with a serious ass face looking at me the whole time while I'm tryna work waiting for me to go to the back to rob me.
I won't feel obligated to take care of my entire neighborhood just because they hung out around me while I was the one doing actual work.
This
People see income but dont account for expenses of certain lifestyles..................for example in corporate america you dont really need an iced out jesus piece

Correct. For 80hrs a week it just aint worth it. I bank about $250k(before tax) if i work those 80 hrs as a consultant. Its like 40hrs work, 20 hrs comms, 20 hrs reading whats new in the market and keeping up with industry strandard/best practice. Tax is a 30% then there's also business associated costs. It ends up being like only $20k a month once you take all expenses out (tax, 401k, associated costs).

I'd rather travel and do something i love like rap or produce beats, smoke blunts and fukk hoes(real talk). Being financially str8 is cool but all you end up doing is helping friends and family who don't have their shyt together.
