Chart topping rapper.... Making 150k isn't bad but money doesn't move me like others. But I know it's a great feeling to go on stage and having 1,000s of people knowing every word of your song and being a fan of what you created. I mean I have nice car and crib now. 150k just means I'ma have a nicer car and crib. I rather have an positive impact on other people's lives than have a lot of money for myself :ld:

No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
So you think if you make 150k, you're going to see 120k of that? :mjlol:

:mjpls: No sir.

For every 50k, you see about $1500 (after tax) every two week, but you move up to another Tax bracket and see less. So about 8k a month. I make 6k a month. 3k every weeks. I'm telling you, after a nice car, house, bills, minimal tricking and stunting. You're not really balling or stacking a lot of money. I have an A8L. Insurance, gas and maintenance is a beast. 1800$ for breaks and rotors.

I mean you can pull it off, but it's not going to be the fabulous life you think it is. :yeshrug:
word, 100k being single is just enough money to live ill, otherwise you could spend 1500 a week easy. With kids, 150k is being able to have a yearly vacation or two and make sure ya wife can raise ya kids, always have food in the house and being comfotable.. and after that, aint much gon be left.

150k is a nice living but why wouldnt you want more than that? when you said rapper, im thinking lil wayne money, not juelz santana money. if we talking juelz santana money ill take the 150k easy. 150k is what ugod or deck prolly make a year

How many chart topping rappers got jerked out their money?
:takedat:

Yea you can be a top 10 rapper and STILL not make $150,000 a year...
It HAPPENS, matter of fact it happens ALL THE TIME...

:takedat:

Big's died with less than $50,000 cash to his name...

Rappers have no medical benefits, no 401 K and get to smash a bunch of bum bytches who fukk whatever rapper is n their city that night.

Also a good 90% of the people around you are only there temporarily while you're "hot".

Your career averages 2-5 years. That's why you see so many anxious to try to do whatever they can to extend it ie corny Reality Shows for chump change.

You gotta say which type of rapper though. Are you Dorrough or are you Jay-Z?

Are you Luda or are you J-Kwon?

I mean there are differences and there ain't that many who are getting really great money consistently. A whole lot of rappers whould love to see 150 k a year............

Stuntone teach me how to stunt...
Is bottle service a must?

I'm tired bruhs. I can't take this area and lifestyle anymore. I miss my family, I miss the south so much. I've sacrifice so much chasing this money. I've been here almost 10 years, never loved it here. I've always wanted to leave, I've been waiting for a good opportunity to leave. I'm starting to believe there isn't going to be a perfect, I'm just about to go back to Louisiana for a few month. Workout, get my mind and spirit right. I've been somewhat depressed lately. This weather, working nightshift and every other Fri, Sat and Sun, missing out on everything. I'm just done. No more to give. Money don't mean sh:t anymore, I saved a lot. The only thing holding me up is my lease which ends July 18th. I was going to try and make, but I can't. I'm mentally exhausted.

Any suggestion on moving companies or how to break a lease w/o having to pay 1000s of dollars?

the rational part in me will choose the 9 to 5 job,but...

back in the 90s when nikkas was dying left and right i would've said fukk no to rapping.
of course back in the day i thought nikkas in rap was dying due to hip hop related shyt, not street shyt.

we are now in a pc/soft era.avoid street shyt and act hard and you'll be alright.
now, i'd choose rapping. i mean you don't even have to be really talented to make a mill or two or more per year.
i mean you don't even have to be a chart-topping rapper to make more money than a 9 to 5 worker.

With the rap you'll earn a lot of the money in that short period of time..if you're smart with it, invest it properly, buy land etc then you can live comfortably off that in later years. The job is great and all, but you're gonna sacrifice a large portion of your life to earn it..You might not even be able to enjoy the fruits until you're too old. Reason why rappers from the mid 2000's are broke now is because they thought the shyt would last forever and werent smart with their money
