Aint shyt incredible. Its called fans buying the album n supporting the artist. Jill Scott can do those numbers, if nikkas got up off their asses and support.

Weezy did it in 2008 and 2011 tooBritney did 1.32m in 2000 in an era where EVERYONE bought music. Taylor doing 1.29m in 2014 where NOONE bought music is a wild achievement. That to me is just as impressive, if not more than Britney's shyt.
Adele's jawn doing 11,000,000 thoughfukking mythical numbers. That new single did a hunnid milli on Vevo in seven days

I listen to both country and hip hop. Please don't do this to yourself.Rap is way more diverse in topics than Country![]()
Adele is not a Hip Hop artist
So you think every black person should buy every album? The stuff you're so is so rudimentary that I won't even expand muxh. At no point is the hottest urban artist doing the most units without white support. No rap album ranks in the top 50 best selling albums in the 90s. Appealing to a niche market as a rapper is much smaller than appealing to a niche market as a country artist. Because your niche is still all of red state America. For black artists to do Adele numbers, all black people would have to back them as a block. So what happens if we don't all like Young Thug? Taylor Swift's fan base is greater than the entire black population.

Adele has 47840 times the marketing a artist like young thug has. Plus as stated people love a white person doing historically black shyt. you can't be this daft man.
White people love Weezy. The only black artists to have the year's top selling album in the last 20 years are Weezy, 50, and usher. If I remember right.Weezy did it in 2008 and 2011 too![]()

This is actually the problem. Non-whites do not buy albums like white people. This is why you have some Country albums going 8+ million w/o having any crossover out of their own market/target audience.
You already lost. You ever listen to Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Lefty Frizzelle?? Cause if you have listened to country like I have you'd know that countries not all about Friday nights beer and trucks. You lost as soon as you downplayed country. Yeah a lot of the new stuff and hits do talk about what you have mentioned but same thing with hip hop. The hits in hip hop talk about money cars clothes and hoes but of course that's not all what hip hop is, same thing with country. Take your L sir.I've listened to both too. Try me![]()
It's more complex than that. It's also a pure numbers game. There are way more white people in the USA than black ones.
im sure there's enough of us to get Thugger (one of the hottest mainstream rappers out currently) a higher number than 20k. I know you need the white crowd to do Adele #'s but Thugs #'s sounds like a simple case of blacks not supporting. Not as complicated as yall making this out to beIf young thug is the hottest urban artist, why is he only selling 20,000 the first week?
