Idk if youre dapfishing but the gym and working out is intimidating if u aint a gym rat in the first place

some people just need a push, some personal trainers work with your specific needs

I'm not. If you need a push for your own health you're incredibly weak minded. Most these trainers working with noobs don't have them doing ridiculous shyt. I see it daily. go run on the treadmill for a bit, here do some kettleball exercises, some half ROM squats :mjlit: Its like do you really NEED to pay someone to show you this shyt? Its their money but I've never quite understood why able bodied folks who aren't training for something specific would ever need one especially with the way the internet is now.

To your first part -Right. Which is why they are paying the trainers to help them where they are weak

Youre weak until you arent

And the second part - a personal trainer who I watch said "I train Wall Street clients who work 80 hours a week. They are not tryna spend time trying to get themselves right and will pay me to show them everything"

those dudes have money to blow. I mean I think were both sort of agreeing with most of what the other is saying.

This has to be one of the most dumbest shyt I've ever read. One of the most life improving tasks you can take on is exercising especially with a professionally who will have you on a specific routine to do. The amount of people who get injured, who frequently go to the gym with bare minimum results, those who barely make improvements in form and knowing what areas to work on their body etc is unbelievable.

I watch people everyday attempting to snap their backs, either using too much weight or not enough weight and completely confused in the gym. How many times I have to stop what I'm doing to prevent someone from not showing up to the gym in a month because their form is completely off or spending 2 months there not progressing wondering why their body hasn't started changing. There should be more personal trainers in the world helping people. Some of the most simplest things like learning how to breathe properly will be taught by PT, you are thinking too dense for this topic.

When I had weight loss surgery I was in the gym looking like a Damm fool and a female who was a personal trainer really well versed in nutrition and weight lifting laced me with game so I didn't waste time just doing cardio all day.

Personal trainers are good for keeping you foucsed in the gym and teaching you proper form and habit.

I didn't know any of that going in. I no longer have a personal trainer for the gym but I do hit the personal trainer at my boxing gym and that is fukking money well spent.

There is so much conflicting and confusing information out there about health and fitness that it is not unreasonable to expect people to get overwhelmed. There is nothing wrong with going to someone who at least appears to know what they're talking about for guidance.

Not to mention there are probably several people out there who thought they could google all the answers until they fumbled around the gym for months seeing no progress, and thought, "hey, maybe I should ask someone who actually knows what they're doing."

Most these trainers working with noobs don't have them doing ridiculous shyt. I see it daily. go run on the treadmill for a bit, here do some kettleball exercises, some half ROM squats :mjlit: Its like do you really NEED to pay someone to show you this shyt?

This I agree with, but that has more to do with individual shytty trainers than training itself.

Well you are brushing with a broad brush. Hard to say all trainers and then boil your perspective down to big box gyms.

Also the client ultimately dictates how good the trainer can be. Let them keep running you through the same bullshyt, don’t supplement with additional training..........you fukked up.

Its dumb but theyre not dumb for going to youtube, IG, google etc learning what to do.

And ook at you, youre telling them how to work out properly, for free:mjlol:, and telling me they need a trainer. Okay, makes sense. So not only do they not ask questions to the myriad of people around them working out that have an idea what their doing they don't do any research and you telling me they NEED a PT to avoid these aforementioned things? aight, got it.

There are very thorough and good trainers. But most of the time they are working with people that don't allow them to showcase that because they are lazy off jump and aren't doing the minimal to get even their foot in the door of working out. thats all I'm saying. You def do not need a PT if you are that green, ask a couple questions, show up. You'll be straight.
