No you don't pass on Caleb Williams cause Fields did well against a couple bad defenses (and even then had bad mistakes in the first game that cost them)
Caleb Williams is a generational prospect
You don't pass on generational prospects

Generational prospect like Lawrence? nikkas say somebody generational every couple of years. If fields is ass then the next qb already has a team ready for them anyway. If Fields play well rest of the year you'd be dumb not to trade that first for a silly haul STILL be able to draft MHJ most likely, and then go edge etc. williams wouldn't turn this team into a super bowl contender himself

Caleb ain’t generational, i think he’s a great qb in a good system,

But even if he’s that nikka, nothing we have in place will allow him to be good

Bad line on both sides, one great wr that’s it, we’d waste Caleb, it makes sense to just role with JF, it’s not like he’s some scrub

Whoo boy, I would hate to see Yung boi not live up to the expectations that you all are putting on him. The way this board talks, Caleb Williams is a mixture of Pat & Peyton with a little bit of prime ARod for razzle dazzle.

Every time, I mean every time the "generational" can't miss prospects come up they rarely live up to the hype. It's usually the sleepers. Luck lived up to it a bit before he tapped out. People done cooled off of Lawrence a lil.

Mahomes wasn't talked about as generational in the draft. Rodgers wasn't. Obv Brady wasn't. It's usually the ones either not being talked about or only talked about a lil.

QB is far more miss than hit but the way y'all tell it, this shyt just guaranteed lol.

I think people underestimate how bad we are and how these same problems will spill over to Caleb, JF wasn’t exactly chopped liver, we have shown flashes of what JF can be with a good game plan, get him more pieces make the team better, then if it’s still nah move on you have a better team for whoever

Defense gave up 25+ for 14 straight games. I'm sure a qb other than JF could have helped with that :dead:

Generational prospects at QB have been
Elway
Manning
Luck
Lawrence

That's it
Lawrence got a long way to go, Manning and Elway are 2 of the top 10 QBs ever maybe?
Luck was an absolute beast when he was healthy there's no denying that
Lawrence obviously we will see what he becomes but he also doesn't suck.

These guys hit. They don't become washouts

I thought the point of the generational tag is that they are...generational. Lawrence came out like 3 years ago now its another generational guy :mjlol:

In any case only half of those dudes won ships and it took Elway till he old asf for it to happen with a great great team around him. None of these dudes can do it themselves.

Yup...fields far from perfect but I don't think people realize how terrible this team is defensively if they aint watching them weekly. No qb is going to have much success when your team averages 30 per gave up a game.
