From reading, it sounds like the indies/conventions have been royally fukked by this as they have to start reserving space T WrestleMania sites ASAP after the WM site announcement. So a bunch of stuff is already reserved and they’ll have to figure out how to get out of those contracts, which will likely mean them having to pay penalties.

Yeah, I dont feel bad for the indies and conventions. They will shyt on WWE any chance they get, but Mania weekend is how all of them stay afloat, piggybacking off the E for the week.

Really, no one should have booked anything this early. If you running the risk of non refundable 11 months out, gotta get insurance.

Wouldn't be surprising since UFC runs events in Vegas often. Think they may even take the performance center over there and whatever else they can.
know who else runs events in vegas often? boxing

and nobody makes a big deal about it

wwe does it and yall who aren’t even big fans of the product start sheddin tears

Probably was part of TKOs plan

That all said theres two things they didnt think about:
1) TKO moving like this is gonna hurt their relationships with cities and there will be a cooled down period where they'll need them. Are they gonna trust and deal with a company that likes to rip up contracts or have stipulations like this?
2) The indies and AEW can just run something in that city on that date and kind of create a competition. WWE has new fans from this boom that arent general wrestling fans but they will lose the faithfuls and hardcores if so

As someone who planned to attend Mania in 2026 if it were in NOLA, now I have to rethink it.

That shyt is going to cost an arm and a leg.

Probably was gonna cost an arm and leg anyway with TKO prices, the economy and the general price hike for Mania season even in NOLA

but the marks told me vegas wasn’t a successful location for mania and they struggled to sell tickets

yet it looks like they’re heading right back next year due to it being such a massive financial success

hahahahahahaha

Isn't ufc based in Vegas?

Which means tko probably made this call. Smh.

We're seeing wwe act in ways Vince would never approve of.

Taking and squeezing every dollar ve it advertising every inch of the screen and now likely pulling out of a show venue for more money.
Biggest difference between Vince and TKO/most corps is he wasn’t greedy like that, sometimes to a fault - think of allll the $$$ he missed out on due to his pettiness/stubbornness :heh:

Fair point. But NOLA is driving distance compared to Vegas for where I'm at. I also think the Vegas live entertainment tax BS could have been avoided. I would have gotten savings from somewhere :damn:

I think you're confusing something. They made this money bc the already absurd ticket prices went an absolutely absurd crazy price this year and ppl still paid for it. That has almost nothing to do with Vegas bc 90% of the WM is traveling.

This is lame bc we're going to no longer get sets/stage designed specifically for each city. Now it's going to be a generic set every year like the PLEs are now.

Vince spared no expense for WM. Now we're seeing a true corporation with no connection to wrestling, in action.
Buddy duck sucking a corporation like they gonna give him a cookie or something
