....? What, were you expecting them to take inorganic matter and create a person from it? Moving the goal posts once again.

The experiments demonstrated that inorganic material, under the right circumstances, can form the building blocks of life. That's exactly what we're talking about with abiogenesis. The difference is we haven't had the billions of years that it took for the original event.
nobody is saying a person has to grow in a test tube to prove the point. you have to show be some simple bacteria at minimum. and you're citing a 1962 experiment. that should be a powerful clue for you. amino acid shaped structures do not constitute life

Clue for what? You do recognize the insane amount of time between 50 years and a billion right? The fact is complex compounds can be formed from simpler ones, with or without intelligence guiding it.

millions of chemical reactions produce complex compounds from simpler ones. condensation is one example. trust me dude, the experiment didnt prove anything

I didn't literally mean be gods, just achieving the things people thought only gods can do. Create life.
this is really what drives every atheist I've ever come across. They deny God because they want to be a God.

Why should I trust you? The majority of scientists who do this research disagree with you. What's your expertise in biology?

Quite the opposite.

Religion is such a self-centered, egotistical thing. You're smarter than a bug and a squirrel and a monkey. That's where it stops. You are not special.

Religion is the ego posing as humility. People like feeling like they have some sort of connection with something greater.... Something that cares for them unconditionally, and protects them so nothing seriously bad will happen to them. It's a comforting thought, but probably not true.
