In general it's kinda lame but i think i did it recently. I just started talking to this chick but convo was going nowhere and i wasn't that invested (mutual friend tried to match us up). I ended up asking her for her Facebook and added her and just never bothered to talk again. It did feel like she was feeling me but who knows.
The reason i didn't tell her anything is because we didn't have "anything" to begin with. There was nothing to say. I guess it's different once you go on a date but at the same time, you're not owed anything. If you're feeling the person, send a text saying you had an amazing time and ask them out. If they don't reply then move on. I dont get why the woman from the original article is butthurt about this. I mean i get it on some level but at some point you need to grow out of this. Her problem is that she doesn't want to humble herself and just call dude to see if he's feeling her.
