Im being pushed to by the powers that be to get a dog. Its sounds like another bill i really dont want to pay for. Plus after the novelty wears off, ill be the only idiot walking and caring for him

my 5 year old is in charge of feeding the dogs and giving water. 12 year old is in charge of cleaning up their shyt outside and letting them out. and I'm in charge of supplying the food.

I have two rescue dogs and one shelter cat. I don't usually take them to the park or walk them. but we have a big fenced in back yard that they can run around in all they want so that's what I do for the most part. to be honest, usually they be wanting to come back in the house after 10 minutes outside. when you have more than one dog, they tend to entertain themselves and not be as reliant on you for amusement. but with me working at home, they are with me all day long, so I'm sure they like having a human companion with them all day.

Also depends on what type of dog you have. What the person you responded to said would more likely apply to say a border collie, australian sheperd, or huskie. Basically dogs that were bred to work and require mental stimulation or else they get bored. They are not happy unless you're walking them 30 mins to an hour a day and also spending a significant amount of time training and interacting with them.

Conversely, take greyhounds and Irish Wolfhounds. Two dogs that are very low activity (yes, greyhounds are low activity dogs, look it up). If you have a front yard they have free reign over that is all they need. Otherwise, they're cool just chilling in the house and following your life style.

I know another cat who got a new crib and then bought a rott puppy. keep that puppy caged up most of the time as well while in the house. but he does let him run around in the yad a lot as well.

I dont understand folks who have animals and leave them caged up.

for us, we leave our dogs out all the time. most they are gonna do is knock pillows off my couch.

the cat stays in the basement simply cuz I dont like leaving my basement door open (and thats where his food/litter is) when I'm not here simply cuz my dogs think they are supposed to piss and shyt down on the concrete down there for some reason if I'm not paying attention.

Only get a pet if you live in a suburban/rural environment and have the ability to work from home at least 1 day a week.

But in BK having a dog automatically gets you no less than 12 free punani sessions each year. That is at least 1 girl a month who will fukk you because you have a "cute dog". Combine that with a lumberjack beard ("in-style" now) and some gay man capris, oh and preferably be WHITE and you can double that number.

My dog, though timid at times, is loyal as shyt and is there to cheer me up regardless of the shytty I may have had. And I've only had her 4 months now.
