It's about justice. period. There is no way you can separate police from the prison system. This is a protest of how prison labor works in our society lead by black people...because a lot of black people are affected. I'm not going to try to convince you of anything because you already said you don't believe in that movement. Continue to be a sheep and shop at massa's market.Oh so black lives matter is about everything associated with police and prison? I thought for sure it was a demand for police to stop killing black people indiscriminately.

I didn't say I believed in the movement. I'm voicing my disappointment in the movement veering so far off of its core narrative. The point of the hashtag was to say something that is simple and indisputable, that black lives matter. That black people shouldn't be executed in the street.
Now it's a label to put on all forms of unrest. It clouds the original discussion.
Whole foods using prison labor is disgraceful and reprehensible. It is clearly a derivative of the prison industrial complex which has been proven to be fact down to judges being paid for sentancing blacks. It should be protested for doing this and I hope it changes. It is absolutely legal slavery.
Adding a racist hiring practice conversation and saying that blacks can't afford to shop there is even more static.
That's my point. Now I'll leave your thread. I'd apologize for pointing out its flaws but I'm not sorry.
