Out of everything said that part is probably about right.
When I was on my fiend I would rarely eat either -- for days at a time. Stuff like codeine and pills and stims kill your appetite.

Once your body get used to not eating it's easier to call it a day after a couple of grams of food. Even if you're smoking weed.
