He should've named the damn song something else. Calling that track Wu-tang Forever was just inviting shyt to his door. It didn't fit as a tribute, it didn't fit as a song to be remixed by the group, it just didn't fit. It would've been like Nas doing "Unauthorized Biography Of Rakim" as a song and rapping his Oochie Wally verse... Just stupid..

sounds pretty fukken lame to me.

"what's that? one of the most popular rappers in the world named a song after us, and wants us on the remix, that a huge audience will hear?

nah.

no thanks."

i don't even like drake that much. but this couldve been a dope hip hop moment.

clan talkin about being too "hard"...they used to rhyme about women all the time. especially ghost and rae. meth made "all i need." u-god made "black shampoo." these guys been making songs for the broads off and on for like two decades. they never used to be salty or defensive about it. just a few years ago, ghost made a whole R&B ALBUM.

but oh no, we can't have drake collaborating with wu-tang, yell the real rap retards. wu-tang is too "hard" for drake, they say.

ok...what's the first single to the new wu album?

Keep Watch....featuring AN R&B SINGER ON THE HOOK. An offbrand rando named "Nathaniel."

And what's the second single to the new wu album?

Ron O'Neal...featuring AN R&B SINGER ON THE HOOK. Same offbrand rando, "Nathaniel."

if only Drake could be as hard as Nathaniel

Them nikkas should have still done the remix :snoop:

We're gonna act like Camay didn't happen, we gonna act like Rae and Ghost didn't remix that Slim Thick joint? :beli:

It would have been a dope hip hop moment, and could have gotten Wu some mainstream shine for today's generation IMO.

Chill homie, yeah they done songs about girls in the past, but maybe they just ain't feel that a song titled "Wu tang forever" should be about bytches.

the real hiphop.
The Clan had been featured on pop songs by r&b singers before (since the 90s) but probably felt that they don't need that mainstream exposure anymore?

This whole situation is a damn shame. Drake actually makes a tribute song to his idols(something most rappers wouldn't do because of pride issues, Drake seems a cool dude) and the song is sooooo misjudged. I still can't believe it. The reaction to the song is :scusthov: , and the momentum which could have led to a classic remix is completely lost.

Drake "paying tribute" to legendary groups like UGK and the Wu makes me want to break his head with a baseball bat

there are rappers who are wack, then there's Drake who incites my animosity with his very existence
