Sliders aren't local to America I've had sliders here in Australia too, it's just a fancy small burger basically. White Castle has been in a bunch of movies, TV shows, references in music etc. Just like I know what Taco Bell is but I don't think they have one here in Australia, but I know what it is because it's mentioned in movies (like Demolition Man), and on podcasts etc that I watch or have seen at some point.
