PC brehs how's this game's performance?
Not great. Some areas are perfect, but some areas, like the snow area, stutter like crazy. I played at 4k 120 with frame gen, but steam is full of negative reviews about performance. Turning on V-Sync seemed to increase frames a lot, it's another buggy Unreal 5 game, though.

Xbox Series X on performance is buttery smooth, 120fps with VRR
Graphic mode is trash, I'm guessing 30fps?
Balanced is much better yet is still likely close to but sub 60

What area did you have issues in?

The Fierce Tiger got melted once I figured out he was weak to fire :camby:

I’ve playing and I got to say I love this game but at the same time I don’t. I main the axe when traveling through the areas but have to switch all upgrades around and use the long sword for bosses because it’s literally broken

Just beat Bo yesterday after 2 attempts, kinda got lost on where to go next then I realized I totally missed the underground mine where the Bride is at. :francis:

The game design is hit and miss @Deafheaven

Perfect Bride went down in 2 attempts with the axe. She wasn’t even close to being as hard as I heard :wow:

I don't know why but games like this wind up being just a grind after a while. Not for nothing too but the game kind of forces you to use the longsword half way through out the game too. Should have been cooked in the oven for longer.

I doubled back to cloudspire to fight the bride because I totally skipped going down the mine shaft. Instead somehow went to the mountains but whatever. Ran through that ho on my second try with the axe but I’m overpowered now. I like the game since I’m still playing slowly just waiting for the patch on consoles before I progress forward

Just bodied Vermillion Honglan on the second attempt :wow:

I’ve been steam rolling through this game since I figured out they want to to use the broken mechanics at certain points

Finished the game and it was kinda a slog through the last area. Switched my build to pure magic and two tapped the last boss :mjlol:

I’ve never seen such a weak ass final boss in my life dope game but definitely went out like a wet fart :francis:

Overall I give it a 7/10

What’s your issue with them because i definitely have a few
I'm only in chapter 2. My gripes:

1. The lore and design for the most part isn't very compelling or interesting.
2. Too reliant on dodging. I think on the final boss on chapter 1. I dodged like over 200 times.
3. The attack patterns going up to 7 or 8 combos is excessive and kind of boring. Just spamming moves and your constantly trying to dodge. This isn't fun to me.
4. Having to spend a significant amount of time finding the right boss for each boss is cumbersome. Would of been a great purpose for NPC to tell cryptic hints on weaknesses on bosses.
5. Parrying doesn't feel great. Quite loose and no stagger build on parries is ergeious game design. Completely devoid the value of having a parry.
6. Annoyingly slow player animation when knocked down or healing.
7. Clashing is fun, but I don't want to play that way with every sword weapon boss.
8. Bosses don't feel build friendly. Especially, if they have a sword or magic. I don't like basically being require to use a guide to get through a game and being required to change my build significantly to beat a boss that kind of feels cheap.
9. The boss run back are obnoxious sometimes.

I agree with everything but I still had fun just running around. The bosses are definitely not build friendly i can’t stress that point enough and i can’t blame you or anyone else for dropping this game for that reason alone. I basically came to grips that I would be switching my build when I encountered a boss from Hong Lan and beyond. But it definitely shouldn’t be like that. Breh the final boss was the easiest ever with a magic build I could not believe it, I used my spell TWICE and he was dead but with my axe build it was actually a cheap challenge because you swing the weapon so damn slow and everyone likes to do a Hulk like jump backwards made it not fun at all. So I looked up a guide and found the cheesiest soulslike build known to man.

Again I liked it for what it was but I’m definitely craving more
